SYMPTOMS
In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment, you try to
send an e-mail message to an address type that is supported by a fax connector.
However, the e-mail message cannot be sent successfully. Additionally, you
receive a non-delivery report (NDR) message that resembles the
following:
Delivery has failed to these
recipients or distribution lists:
'<someone>'
<mailto:<someone>@<example.com>>
The recipient's e-mail address was not found in the recipient's e-mail
system. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you.
Please check the e-mail address and try resending this message, or provide the
following diagnostic text to your system administrator. _____ Sent by
Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Diagnostic information for administrators:
Generating server: xxxx.com
<someone>@<example.com>>

RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, disable the third-party e-mail
disclaimer program that is named Exclaimer. To do this, follow these steps:
| 1. | Start the Exchange Management Shell. |
| 2. | At the command prompt, type
disable-transportagent -identity
<servername>-exclaimersmtpagent,
and then press ENTER. |
| 3. | Type disable-transportagent -identity
<servername>
-exclaimerroutingagent, and then press ENTER. |
Note You can verify the status of the Exclaimer program by running the
get-transportagents cmdlet at the command prompt.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
