The Remote Desktop Connection disconnects when you try to print to a Windows Server 2008-based terminal server

Article ID:954400
Last Review:July 1, 2008
Revision:1.0

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print from a Terminal Server client to a Windows Server 2008-based terminal server by using the Remote Desktop Connection, the Remote Desktop Connection is disconnected.

This problem occurs if the number of forms in the server properties of the printer is more than 160 forms.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because buffer operation in the Terminal Server client constrains the number of forms to fewer than 160 forms.
