You are prompted to prepare Office Outlook 2007 for first use after you apply security update 972363
- This update changes the CLSID of the Outlook View Control and sets the killbit for the previous CLSID to make sure that the earlier version of the control cannot be instantiated in Internet Explorer. The new CLSID is {261B8CA9-3BAF-4BD0-B0C2-BF04286785C6}. The old CLSID is {0468C085-CA5B-11D0-AF08-00609797F0E0}. If you are using the Outlook View Control in a compiled or managed application, you may have to update your solution to reference the new CLSID. Solutions that use Visual Basic for Applications in Microsoft Office do not have to be updated and will continue to function as expected.
- After you install this update, the Outlook View Control may not function in those programs that use Microsoft Forms 2.0 functionality. To resolve this issue, install the following security update for the 2007 Office suite:

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
