The "Share Information Using Live Meeting" option is unavailable in Office Communicator 2007 and in Office Communicator 2007 R2
In Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 or in Microsoft Office
Communicator 2007 R2, when you create an Instant Messaging conversation, you
find that the
Share Information Using Live Meeting option is
unavailable from the dropdown menu in the upper-right corner of the
conversation window.
This problem occurs after you install Microsoft
Office Live Meeting 2007 or Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 and then you
uninstall Microsoft Office Communicator 2005.
For
a x86-based operating system, this problem occurs
because the following registry subkey
is missing from the
registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Communicator\SessionManager\Apps\{27877e66-615c-4582-ab88-0cb2ca05d951}
For
a x64-based operating system, this problem occurs because the following
registry subkeys are missing from the registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Communicator\SessionManager\Apps\{27877e66-615c-4582-ab88-0cb2ca05d951}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Communicator\SessionManager\Apps\{27877e66-615c-4582-ab88-0cb2ca05d951}
The registry subkeys
are
added when you install Live Meeting 2007 or Office Communicator 2007 R2.
However, if you uninstall Office Communicator 2005, this registry subkeys
are
removed unexpectedly.
To resolve this problem, reinstall Live Meeting 2007 or
Office Communicator 2007 R2.
Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
