The numbers that have decimals are displayed incorrectly in the DataFormWebPart Web part in SharePoint Designer 2007 if the numbers are from the localized Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 lists

SYMPTOMS

In the DataFormWebPart Web part in Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007, you may experience one or more of the following issues about numbers that are from the localized Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 lists:
  • By default, all the numbers are displayed with a period character (.) as the decimal separator regardless, of the page locale.
  • If the list is in a Spanish site, the XSL Transformation (XSLT) format-number method cannot display the numbers. This occurs because the method expects numbers that have a period character (.) as the decimal separator.
  • SharePoint Designer 2007 ignores the decimal settings from Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 lists.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007
