Nonpaged pool kernel memory leak on Windows 2003 with Multipathing solution installed

Customers that use a multipathing solution on a Microsoft Windows 2003 Server may experience excessive use of non-paged pool. This excessive use will lead to depletion, which may cause the computer to stop responding (hang) or experience an unexpected failover. Errors related to non-paged pool depletion may be logged which may also cause issues such as failure to respond or unexpected failovers.
You may receive the following event message:
Event ID 2019
Description:
The server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool because the pool was empty.
This problem occurs because of an issue with the Microsoft MPIO driver mpio.sys version 1.21 and 1.22.
Note: MPIO 1.22 is distributed via storage vendors by their DSM.
There are two resolution methods depending on how MPIO was obtained:
To work around this issue use one of the following methods depending on how MPIO was obtained:

Method 1:Â Â If you are using Fibre Channel storage, the MPIO binaries are distributed via the storage vendor with their DSM. Please contact the storage vendor to inquire about an update that includes the updated MPIO drivers
Method 2:Â If you are using the iSCSI Software Initiator, an updated iSCSI Initiator package is available at the link below.

This issue will affect anyone using the mpio.sys driver within a clustered environment and will be more pronounced the greater the number of LUNs connected. Customers should first engage their vendor should they have concerns about their storage solutions or configurations.
