On a clustered Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) server instance, you try to stop, start, or restart the WINS service in the WINS Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in. In this case, the service is stopped, started, or restarted correctly. However, the WINS MMC snap-in stops responding, and you receive the following error message:
