SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint, a quarantined Open XML document cannot be delivered. Additionally, you cannot open this document.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the quarantined Open XML file is not preserved in its original complete container form after Forefront Security for SharePoint runs a keyword filter on it or after the virus scan engine runs on it several times.

To resolve this problem, install Hotfix Rollup 1 for Forefront Security for SharePoint with Service Pack 2.

Note Forefront Security for SharePoint with Service Pack 2 must be installed before you install Hotfix Rollup 1 for Forefront Security for SharePoint with Service Pack 2.
