You cannot open a quarantined Open XML document in Forefront Security for SharePoint
In Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint, a quarantined Open XML document cannot be delivered. Additionally, you cannot open this document.
This problem occurs because
the quarantined Open XML file is not preserved in its original complete container
form after
Forefront Security for SharePoint runs a keyword filter
on it or after
the
virus scan engine
runs on it several times.
To resolve this problem, install Hotfix Rollup 1 for
Forefront Security for SharePoint with Service Pack 2.
Note Forefront Security for SharePoint with Service Pack 2 must be
installed before you install Hotfix Rollup 1 for Forefront Security for
SharePoint with Service Pack 2.

Description of Hotfix Rollup 1 for Forefront Security for SharePoint with Service Pack 2
After you install Hotfix Rollup 1 for
Forefront Security for SharePoint with Service Pack 2, you can configure Forefront Security for SharePoint to create a
copy of every detected file in its original format and to quarantine every detected file before it runs the associated actions. This includes Open XML documents.
Note Forefront Security for SharePoint runs the following actions:
Microsoft
