SYMPTOMS

When you use the Health Monitor feature on a Microsoft Application Center 2000 controller, you notice that a Critical condition is displayed for the "Log to offline.log" action. When you view this action, you receive the following error message:

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the System account does not have Full Control permissions to the file system.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, verify that the System account has Full Control permissions to the file system, such as drive C.

To verify that the System account has Full Control permissions to drive C on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type explorer.exe, and then press ENTER.
  2. Click My Computer.
