This hotfix package fixes the following issue:
955375  (http://kbalertz.com/Feedback.aspx?kbNumber=955375/ ) You may experience various symptoms when you try to open an Office document from a Web site hyperlink in a 2007 Office application on a Windows Vista-based client computer
This hotfix package also fixes the following issue that is not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
On a SharePoint Portal Server 2003 site, you have only the Read permission to a document. On a Windows Vista-based client computer, when you try to open the document in a 2007 Office application, an authentication dialog box appears unexpectedly.
