The Remote Desktop Connection disconnects when you try to print to a Windows Server 2008-based terminal server
When you try to print from a Terminal Server client to a Windows Server 2008-based terminal server by using the Remote Desktop Connection, the Remote Desktop Connection is disconnected.
This problem occurs if the number of forms in the server properties of the printer is more than 160 forms.
This issue occurs because buffer operation in the Terminal Server client constrains the number of forms to fewer than 160 forms.
To resolve this issue, configure the number of forms in the server properties of the printer to fewer than 160 forms.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Printers, and then click Server Properties.
- In the Print Server Properties dialog box, select the form that you want to delete on the Forms tab, and then click Delete.
- Repeat step 3 until the total number of forms becomes fewer than 160 forms.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
