Consider the following scenario.

•	In Microsoft SQL Server 2005, you create two tables that are named T1 and T2.
•	You configure a merge publication.
•	You add T1 as an article to the publication, and then you define a subset filter for the article.
•	You add T2 as an article to the publication, and then you define a join filter to T1 for the article.
•	You configure a merge subscription to the merge publication.
•	You update more than one row in T1 on the subscription side.

In this scenario, some rows should be added to T2 because of the join filter. However, these rows are not added to T2 on the subscription side.

Note If you only update one row in T1, this problem does not occur.

The fix for this issue was first released in Cumulative Update 8. You must apply a SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 hotfix to an installation of SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2. By default, any hotfix that is provided in a SQL Server service pack is included in the next SQL Server service pack.
