SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario:
| • | You have a column in a custom list that has 19 items or more on a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 site. |
| • | You add this column in the custom list to a document library as a lookup field. |
| • | You select the None value for the lookup field after you upload a document to the document library. |
In this scenario, the
None value is empty. Also, to select items in the combo box, you have to double-click them instead of single-clicking them.

CAUSE
This issue occurs because it is tedious to look up items in a combo box that contains a long list. The control lets you type the value of the list item that you want to look up. The control automatically preselects in the list as you type.

WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, type the value of the list item that you want to look up.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
