RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove the file type entry from the Blocked File Types page. To enable a file type that is currently blocked, remove it from the Web application list. To do this, follow these steps:
| 1. | Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration. |
| 2. | In the left navigation pane, click Operations, and then click Blocked file types under Security Configuration. |
| 3. | On the Blocked File Types page, in the Web Application box, click the Web application that you want to configure. |
| 4. | On the Blocked File Types page, in the Web Application box, click Change Web Application. |
| 5. | Under Name, click the entry for the SharePoint site. |
| 6. | Click to select the .txt file name extension, press DELETE, and then click OK. |
| 7. | Repeat steps 4 through 6 for the affected Web application. |
| 8. | Exit Central Administration. |

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
