Error message when you upload a document to a SharePoint Web site that has Forefront Security for SharePoint installed: "Virus Found DocumentName contains the following virus: VirusName"
SYMPTOMS
You are using a Windows Server 2008-based computer that is running Microsoft Office SharePoint Server. When you upload a document to a SharePoint Web site that has Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint installed, you may receive the following error message:
Virus Found DocumentName contains the following virus: VirusName
This error message occurs even if the document is not infected and even though there are no FSCRealtimeScanner.exe processes running in Task Manager. (These processes are used to detect a virus.)
Additionally, the following error information may be logged in the ProgramLog.txt file:
ERROR:Scan/Clean document DocumentName failed . hr = 0x8004005
ERROR: Scan/Clean document DocumentName failed (0x800706BA)
ERROR: SharePoint Realtime scan exceeded the allowed scan time limit.
By default, the ProgramLog.txt file is located in the "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Forefront Security\SharePoint" folder.
This problem may occur when you restart the FSCController service before you upload the document.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install Forefront Security for SharePoint Service Pack 2 (SP2).
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint
- Microsoft Forefront Security for SharePoint Service Pack 1

and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.

didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
