SerialPort.ReadLine method causes IOException to occur

Action
Write an application that does serial port communication using the SerialPort.ReadLine() method.
Result
Intermittently, an IOException with the message “IO operation has been aborted due to a thread exit or a process request†occurs.
Resolution
The work around for this issue is to use the SerialPort.ReadExisting() method instead of the ReadLine() method.
