Description of Microsoft Office Accounting 2008 Service Pack 1 for Accounting Professional 2008 and for Accounting Express 2008
MORE INFORMATION
Issues
The following issues are fixed in Service Pack 1 for Accounting Professional 2008 and for Accounting Express 2008.
Issues that apply to the U.S. version and the UK version of Accounting Professional 2008 and Accounting Express 2008
- You cannot open some reports that contain a line item description that is longer than 300 characters. Additionally, the original invoice that contains the line item description cannot be edited or voided.
- Transactions that appear as matched and as reconciled in the bank account register appear in the "Bank Transaction Detail" report as unreconciled.
- The Purchase Order form can take 60 seconds to populate the vendor information or the supplier information.
- When an inventory asset account or a stock asset account is included in cash basis reports, the "cash-basis Profit & Loss" report may be incorrect if the cost of an item includes four decimal places. For example, the cost of $0.1731 includes four decimal places.
- A deposit slip is printed on two pages. However, bank rules require that all lines on a deposit slip should be printed on a single page. This problem occurs if the name of a financial account is longer than 20 characters and the deposit slip contains more than 22 lines.
Issues that only apply to the U.S. version of Accounting Professional 2008 and Accounting Express 2008
- After the trial period is expired or after you cancel a trial offer, you must call customer support when you subscribe to Payroll for Office Accounting.
- The historical Payroll information that is stored on the Payroll for Office Accounting server is lost after the subscription is deactivated.
- A company has multiple subscriptions to Payroll for Office Accounting. One subscription is inactivated but should be reinstated. In this case, Payroll for Office Accounting cannot determine the correct subscription to reinstate.
- If a company has both a fax number and a telephone number, the fax number appears in the Business Phone field when you print forms that contain the company information.
- When you upgrade a company from Accounting Professional 2007 or from Accounting Express 2007 to Accounting Professional 2008 or to Accounting Express 2008, the computer stops responding.
- When multiple voucher checks are printed at the same time, detailed lines are missing from some checks.
- If you add an e-mail address for a company in the Company Information dialog box, the e-mail address does not appear in printed forms, such as invoices.
- The company information is aligned incorrectly in printed forms. The company name is not aligned with the company address.
Issues and new features that only apply to the UK version of Accounting Professional 2008 and Accounting Express 2008
- When you preview an invoice, the kit details and the job costing details appear. However, when you print the invoice, the kit details and the job costing details do not appear in the printed invoice.
- The Gender field and the Birth date field are added to the "P45 Leaver–manual" report to comply with the new HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) rules for 2008.
APPLIES TO

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
