Action
Problem:
When debugging a VS 2008 application running on framework 2.0 or 3.5, pressing F5 can case this error message to be thrown:
Request for the permission of type ‘system.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, version-2.O.O.O, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken-b77a5c561934e069’ failed.
Even though the application was running from local machine and the project also on local machine with fulltrust. If the application.exe is executed, it works fine.

Result
When debugging an application in VS 2008 by pressing F5 this error message might be thrown:
Request for the permission of type ‘system.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission, mscorlib, version-2.O.O.O, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken-b77a5c561934e069’ failed.
Cause
The FileIOPermission exception is thrown due to a corrupted application.vshost.exe file generated from the debugger in the IDE.Â
Resolution
The issue can be resolved by unchecking the "Enable the Visual Studio hosting process" in the project properties, then rebuild the project and then re-enabling the VS hosting process and rebuilding the project.Â
Project Properties->Debug-> uncheck "Enable the Visual Studio hosting process"

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
