Anonymous access to a BDC data source fails in SharePoint Server 2007
SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You try to access a Web Part or Data View in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. You use anonymous access. The Web Part or Data View is set up to display Business Data Catalog (BDC) content. In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
You do not have permission to access <Table> in <Database>
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because anonymous access cannot be used to access BDC data in SharePoint Server 2007 Web parts or data views.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
