SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Office Activation Assistant for the 2007 Microsoft Office suites tool does not display a trial activation key in the OEM Key displayed here box when you click Click here to request your Trial Activation key online. Instead, you receive the following message:
The Microsoft Office Activation Assistant has detected more than one version of a 2007 Microsoft Office release installed on your computer. Please go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/FX101759651033.aspx to select a version and request a trial activation key.

CAUSE

The Office Activation Assistant for the 2007 Microsoft Office suites tool cannot display activation keys if you have multiple 2007 Office system products installed on a single computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1.When you receive the message that was listed in the "Symptoms" section, click http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101759011033.aspx (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101759011033.aspx).
2.After the page opens, click Request a trial activation key online (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101759011033.aspx#1).
3.Follow the instructions to obtain a trial activation key.

The Office Activation Assistant for the 2007 Microsoft Office suites tool is preinstalled on OEM computers together with one or more 2007 Office system products. This tool gives users a simple way to request a trial activation key. This key is required when a 2007 Office application from a preinstalled 2007 Office system product is started for the first time.
