INTRODUCTION

Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2007 and Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007. This update provides the latest updates to the Equifax credit profile service add-in for Accounting 2007.

This article describes how to obtain the update, the issue that is fixed by the update, and how to determine whether the update is installed.

Update details

This update fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

When you try to sign up for the Equifax credit profile service in Accounting 2007, you cannot sign in. This issue may occur because of a certificate mismatch between Accounting 2007 and the Equifax credit profile service Web server.

This update for Accounting 2007 updates the certificate that is used by Accounting 2007.

How to obtain and to install the update

How to determine whether the update is installed

The update contains the file that has the version that is listed in the following table.

You do not have to install this update if you have a later version of the file that is listed in the table. To determine whether the files that are listed in the table are installed, follow these steps.
Windows Vista
1.Click Start  Start button , and then click Search.
2.Click Advanced Search.
3.In the Location box, click Local Hard Drives.
4.In the Name box, type the name of the file, and then click Search.
5. In the list of files, right-click the file that was found, and then click Properties.
6. On the General tab, examine the file properties of the file that is installed.
Windows XP
1.Start Search Companion. To do this, click Start, and then click Search.

Note If Windows Desktop Search starts, click Click here to use Search Companion.
2. In the Search Results window, click All files and folders in the Search Companion pane.
3. In the All or part of the file name box, type the name of the file, and then click Search.
4. In the list of files, right-click the file that was found, and then click Properties.
5. On the General and Version tabs, examine the file properties of the file that is installed.

Information for administrators about .msp files

The Accounting 2007 update consists of a full-file Microsoft Windows Installer file (.msp file) that is packaged in a self-extracting executable file. The following .msp file is distributed in this update:
EquifaxQFE.msp

Information for administrators about how to reinstall specific components

If you update your administrative installation point, and if you recache and reinstall Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007 on client computers, you can run a command-line command that includes the following property:
REINSTALL=[list of features]
This property specifies whether you want to reinstall specific components of Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007 from the administrative image. For the update for Accounting 2007, the value for list of features is as follows.
