You do not receive software updates to the language packs or to the proofing tools for the 2007 Office system when you visit the Microsoft Office Update Web site
SYMPTOMS
You try to update the language packs for the 2007 Microsoft Office system, or you try to update the proofing tools for the 2007 Office system. To do this, you use Microsoft Update, Microsoft Office Update, or Automatic Updates. In this scenario, you do not receive the updates for the language packs or for the proofing tools.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because updates to the language packs and to the proofing tools for the 2007 Office system are included in a single Microsoft Update. For example, an update to the French version of the 2007 Office system also applies to the language pack for the French 2007 Office system.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, install the 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 1. This service pack automatically updates the language packs and proofing tools for the 2007 Office system. In this service pack, only components that are required to update the 2007 Office system are downloaded and installed.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
