How to restore an Accounting Professional 2007 database or an Accounting Express 2007 database that has been integrated with Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager

INTRODUCTION
This article describes how to restore a Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2007 database or a Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007 database that has been integrated with Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager.

To restore an Accounting Professional 2007 database or an Accounting Express 2007 database that has been integrated with Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager, use one of the following methods.
Note Both of the following methods assume that you created a database backup after the Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager integration.
Method 1
Restore the Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager backup. To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Outlook 2007.
- On the Business Contact Manager menu, point to Database Tools, and then click Manage Database.
- In the Manage Database dialog box, click Restore Database on the Backup/Restore tab.
- In the Database Restore dialog box, click Browse next to the Select the data file to restore from field.
- Select the backup file, and then click Open.
- Click OK.
- If the backup has been restored, exit Outlook 2007.
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Accounting 2007 Tools, and then click Data Tools.
- Click Rebuild.
- In the Rebuild Company File dialog box, select the database that was restored, and then click Rebuild.
- In the Select Company File dialog box, type a unique name in the File name field, and then click Save.
- Click OK.
- Close the Microsoft Office Accounting Data Utilities dialog box.
- Start Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007.
- Click the company file that you created in step 11.
Method 2
Restore the Accounting Professional 2007 backup or the Accounting Express 2007 backup. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Accounting 2007 Tools, and then click Data Tools.
- In the Microsoft Office Accounting Data Utilities dialog box, click Restore.
- In the Database Restore dialog box, click Browse next to the Backup file name field.
- Select the backup file, and then click Open.
- Click Browse next to the Restore backup file to field.

In the Select Company File dialog box, type a unique name in the File name field.
- Click Save, and then click Yes to create the new company file.
- If a password was created for the backup file, type the password in the Password field.
- Click OK two times.
- Close the Microsoft Office Accounting Data Utilities dialog box.
- Start Outlook 2007.
- On the Business Contact Manager menu, point to Database Tools, and then click Create or Select a Database.
- In the Database name field, examine the list to locate the database that was restored.
- Select the database that was restored, and then click Next.
- Start Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007.

Click the company file that you created in steps 6 and 7.
