Error message when you start Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007 for the first time after you install the program: "MOA has encountered a problem and needs to close. The format file sba.exe is invalid"

SYMPTOMS
When you start Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2007 or Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007 for the first time after you install the program, you receive the following error message:
MOA has encountered a problem and needs to close. The format file sba.exe is invalid.
CAUSE
This problem occurs for one of the following reasons:
- The shortcut for Accounting Professional 2007 or for Accounting Express 2007 is corrupted. See Resolution 1 in the "Resolution" section.
- The installation files that you downloaded for Accounting Professional 2007 or for Accounting Express 2007 are incomplete.
Or, some Accounting Professional 2007 components or some Accounting Express 2007 components are not completely installed. See Resolution 2 in the "Resolution" section.
- The Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is not installed. See Resolution 3 in the "Resolution" section.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the appropriate resolution.
Resolution 1: Create a new shortcut for Accounting Professional 2007 or for Accounting Express 2007
- Locate the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Small Business\Small Business Accounting 2007
- Double-click the SBA.exe file.
- Verify that you do not receive an error message.
- If you do not receive an error message and if you can start the program, create a new shortcut. To do this, right-click the SBA.exe file, point to Send To, and then click Desktop (create shortcut).
Note After you create the shortcut on the desktop, you can move the shortcut to any folder.
Resolution 2:
Remove and then reinstall Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007 and all the components
- Remove Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007.

- Start Accounting Professional 2007 or Accounting Express 2007, and then click Check for Updates on the Help menu.
