Error message when you download transactions by using the Online Banking feature in Accounting Professional 2007 or in Accounting Express 2007: "Failed to decrypt Online Account ID"
SYMPTOMS
When you download transactions by using the Online Banking feature in Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2007 or in Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2007, you may receive the following error message:
Failed to decrypt Online Account ID, the current Online Account ID stored in database is created and encrypted by a different user or from a different machine, please re-enter it.
CAUSE
This problem may occur because the database files have been moved to another computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, close the existing online banking connection, and then reestablish the online banking connection. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the Banking menu, point to Bank Online, and then click Setup Online Banking.
- Click Next.
- In the Setup Online Banking dialog box, click a bank account.
- Click Next.
- In the Financial Institutions list, click a financial institution, and then click Next.
- In the Log On dialog box, type the user ID and the password, and then click Next.
- In the Match Accounts dialog box, click to select the Do not set up this account check box.
- Click OK.
- On the Banking menu, point to Bank Online, and then click Setup Online Banking.
- Click Next.
- In the Setup Online Banking dialog box, click a bank account.
- Click Next.
- In the Financial Institutions list, click a financial institution, and then click Next.
- In the Log On dialog box, type the user ID and the password, and then click Next.
- In the Match Accounts dialog box, click to select the This online account matches check box, and then click the arrow next to the This online account matches arrow to select one of the accounts.
- Click OK.
- In the Date box, enter the date on which you want to download the transactions.
- Click OK.
