You cannot change the datasheet of a chart in PowerPoint 2004 for Mac

SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. In a Microsoft PowerPoint 2004 for Mac presentation, you double-click a chart object. The chart opens in Microsoft Graph for Mac. You cannot change the datasheet for the chart.
This issue also occurs if you create a new chart in a Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2004 presentation.

CAUSE
This issue occurs when the plist file for Graph becomes damaged or corrupted.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue on a PowerPC-based Macintosh computer, follow these steps:
| 1. | Close PowerPoint 2004 for Mac and any other Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac program that is open. |
| 2. | From the desktop, click Go, and then click Home. |
| 3. | Open the Library folder, and then open the Preferences folder. |
| 4. | Locate and then open the Microsoft folder. |
| 5. | Drag the com.microsoft.Graph.prefs.plist file to the Trash icon on the Dock. |
| 6. | Right-click Trash, and then click Empty Trash. |
| 7. | Start PowerPoint 2004 for Mac, and then open the presentation that contains the chart that you want to change. |
You should now be able to change the datasheet on the chart.

This issue also occurs on an Intel-based Macintosh computer. This issue will be addressed in a future Mac OS X version for Intel-based Macintosh computers.
