Error message when you try to start the Microsoft SoftGrid Client or when you update the Desktop Configuration Server: "Error code: xxxxxx-xxxxxx0A-00008029"
SYMPTOMS
When you try to start the Microsoft SoftGrid Client or when you update a Desktop Configuration Server from the SoftGrid Client Management console, the application does not respond and you receive the following error message?
The SoftGrid Client could not launch {application_name}.
The SoftGrid Client could not load {application_name}.
The SoftGrid Client failed to download MIME information from {server_name}.
A network connection was not detected. Please check your network connection and try again. If the problem persists, please report the following error code to your System Administrator.
Error code: xxxxxx-xxxxxx0A-00008029
When this problem occurs, the following entry is logged in the SoftGrid Client log file (Sftlog.txt):
No information is available at this time.
Additionally, the following entry is logged in the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server log file (Sft-server.log):
No information is logged to sft-server.log for this error code.
MORE INFORMATION
This problem may occur if the following conditions are true.
Streaming and Loading- The SoftGrid Client network has lost its connection. Additionally, the Minimal Disconnected Operation procedure is expired or disabled.
- The port that is specified in the HREF attribute of the CODEBASE element is not the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server port.
Refreshing- The SoftGrid Client network has lost its connection.
