Error message when you try to delete an application from SoftGrid Client Management: "The application is still being used. Error code: xxxxxx-xxxxxx04-00000C0C"
SYMPTOMS
When you try to delete an application from SoftGrid Client Management, you cannot delete the application. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
The SoftGrid Client could not delete application_name.
The application is still being used. Please make sure all instances of the application, including instances being run by other Users, are closed and try again. If the problem persists, please report the following error code to your System Administrator.
Error code: xxxxxx-xxxxxx04-0000000C0C
Additionally, the following error message is logged in the SoftGrid Client log file (Sftlog.txt):
The client could not close handle x to application_name because another handle for the same app (xxx) is still open (rc xxxxxx04-00000C0C)
CAUSE
This issue occurs when the application that you want to delete is still being used. The applicaton cannot be deleted while it is being used.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, exit all instances of the application, and then delete the application. If the SoftGrid Client is a Terminal Server, all users must exit the application.
