Error message when you try to export a briefing book from ProClarity Desktop Professional or ProClarity Web Professional to PowerPoint 2002: "Programmatic access to Visual Basic Project is not trusted"

SYMPTOMS
When you try to export a briefing book from ProClarity Desktop Professional or ProClarity Web Professional to Microsoft PowerPoint 2002, you receive the following error message:
Programmatic access to Visual Basic Project is not trusted. Please check the macro security settings in PowerPoint to ensure that access is allowed.

CAUSE
This problem occurs because you cannot programmatically access Microsoft Visual Basic projects in PowerPoint 2002 by default.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, enable the
Trust access to Visual Basic Project option. To do this, follow these steps:
| 1. | Start PowerPoint 2002. |
| 2. | On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Security. |
| 3. | On the Trusted Sources tab, click Trust access to Visual Basic Project. |

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

MORE INFORMATION
ProClarity Desktop Professional and ProClarity Web Professional do not sign macros. Therefore, you must set the security level for macros in PowerPoint 2002 to Medium. If you do not set the security level to Medium, every page in the PowerPoint presentation displays the first page of the briefing book. After you change the security level, you must restart PowerPoint 2002.
