Setup is not successful when you install MSXML 6.0 and then you try to install a different language version of SharePoint Server 2007
SYMPTOMS
When you install Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 6.0 and then you try to install a different language version of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, the SharePoint Server 2007 setup is not successful. The Office Server Setup log file contains the following error message:
Error: Command: 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\SERVER12\Server Setup Controller\SqlExpressWrapper.exe' failed with error code: 1603. Type: CommandFailed
Additionally, the Summary.txt file contains an error message that resembles the following:
Machine : ComputerName
Product : MSXML 6.0 Parser
Product Version : 6.00.3883.15
Install : Failed
Log File : C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Files\SQLSetup0001_ComputerName_MSXML6_1.log
Error Number : 1603
In this message,
ComputerName is the name of the computer.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the language version of MSXML 6.0 does not match the language version of SharePoint Server 2007.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install the same language version of MSXML 6.0 and SharePoint Server 2007.

didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
