Microsoft has released a service pack for Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 2.0. INTRODUCTION

Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 3 (SP3) contains stability improvements and performance improvements. Some fixes that are included with Windows SharePoint Services SP3 were previously released in separate updates. Windows SharePoint Services SP3 combines the previously released fixes into one update.

Known issues that may occur after the service pack is installed

  • You receive an error message when you connect to a Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 Web site after you install a Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 service pack.
  • You may be unable to open the "Edit in Datasheet" view in some document libraries after you install Windows SharePoint Services SP3. Test for this issue before you implement Windows SharePoint Services SP3.
