SYMPTOMS

When you play a custom scenario-based game in Microsoft Age of Empires III, the enemy Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the custom scenario-based game does not react.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the settings are not correctly set in the custom game scenario.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
1.On the main screen, click Help and Tools, and then click Scenario Editor.
2.Click the Scenario menu, click the Player Data menu, and then click AI for the computer player.
3.Set the AI settings for the computer player to the AI settings in the AiloaderStandard.xs file.
4.Click the Objects menu, click Place object, and then click AI Start in the drop down list.
5.Put the AI Start object next to the computer Town Center and the human Town Center.
6.Save the custom game scenario.

Hi Scott...thanks for the above on the 'aiLoaderStandard.xs' however I cannot seem to rid thie error with my normal game scenarions (ie not custom). Therefore, if i go to skirmish and play a preset game it comes up with that error and the guys (enermy) do nothing! Please can you help?? Thanks Graham

I have tried this fix multible times and i still cannot fix the AI, what should i do? as without the custom game parts, it would be quite upsetting. Thanks Kyal
