- You receive one of the following error messages:
Unable to create a new mail message due to an unexpected problem.
Unable to create a new mail message due to an unexpected error.
- Microsoft Outlook opens to a blank page and does not insert the map as a picture or as an
attachment.
Note This behavior occurs when you try to send a map by selecting one of the following options:

This behavior occurs because of a conflict with the way that Outlook is configured.
To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
- In Outlook, in the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Mail Format tab.
- Select one of the following options, and then try to send the map by using e-mail. If one of these options fails, try the next option.
Note All these options have resolved the issue in different cases.- In the Message Format section, set the option to HTML.
- In the Message Format section, set the option to Microsoft Outlook Rich
Text.
- Click to clear the Use Microsoft Word to edit
e-mail messages check box.
- If the Use Microsoft Word to edit
e-mail messages check box is already cleared, click to select the Use Microsoft Word to edit
e-mail messages check box.
- Click OK to save the change.
- Close all the windows that are open. This includes Outlook. Then, try to send a map by using e-mail.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
