Rise of Nations is unexpectedly minimized to the taskbar

SYMPTOMS

When you play Microsoft Rise of Nations, the game is unexpectedly minimized to the taskbar.

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the IPInSightMonitor 01 program is running in the background.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, and then click OK.
  2. Click the Startup tab, and then click to clear the check box for the IPMon32 startup item.
  3. Click OK.
  4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.
