"Subscription Channel Not Purchased" error message when you use the LG LRM-519 DVR/DVD Recorder with the Microsoft Program Guide

SYMPTOMS

When you select channels by using the arrow buttons on the remote control for the LG LRM-519 DVR/DVD Recorder, you receive the following error message:
Subscription Channel Not Purchased

CAUSE

  • Your satellite or cable TV receiver is out of infrared synchronization (IR sync) with the LG LRM-519 DVR/DVD Recorder.
  • This loss of synchronization may occur when the arrows keys on the remote control are pressed many times very quickly.

RESOLUTION

To view the channel that you were trying to view when you received the error message, use this procedure:
  • Instead of using the arrow keys, use the number keys on the remote control to select the channel that you want to view. This step will clear the problem and restore the IR sync between your cable TV or satellite receiver and the recorder.

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Program Guide
