SUMMARY
This article describes how to troubleshoot connectivity issues for the LG LRM-519 DVR/DVD Recorder with the Microsoft Program Guide service on a dial-up connection.
MORE INFORMATION
To troubleshoot connectivity issues, follow these steps:
| 1. | Make sure that the telephone line is securely plugged in to the recorder. |
| 2. | Make sure that you have not used a splitter on the telephone line between the recorder and the telephone jack. |
| 3. | Start the recorder. |
| 4. | Select Settings, and then select Phone and Network Setup. |
| 5. | Under Set up Connection, verify that Use Phone line is selected. |
| 6. | Select Configure Phone, and then select the Tone check box. |
| 7. | If you have to dial 9 to reach an outside line, use the numeric keypad on the remote control to enter 9 in the Prefix text box. Note To clear an entry, use the arrow keys on the remote control to select the incorrect entry, and then use the keypad to enter the correct number. |
| 8. | Enter your telephone number on the Enter Your Home Phone Number page, and then select Connect. Note The recorder will now try to establish a connection with your telephone line. |

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
