You experience unexpected behavior when you install Live Communications Server 2003 on a domain controller

SYMPTOMS

If you install Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2003 on a domain controller, you experience unexpected behavior with the program.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the installation of Live Communication Server 2003 on a domain controller is not a supported scenario.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:
  • Install Live Communications Server 2003 on a computer that is not a domain controller.
  • Install Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 on the domain controller. The installation of Live Communication Server 2005 on a domain controller is supported.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

In our office, we installed LCS2003 on a DC, the whole system run quite well, seldom have any problem/
