When you try to start Microsoft Office Project 2003 or Microsoft Project 2002, you receive a "Microsoft Project could not open Global.mpt" error message
SYMPTOMS
When you try to start Microsoft Office Project 2003 or Microsoft Project 2002, the program does not start. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Project could not open Global.mpt. The file Global.mpt is either corrupted or missing. Please contact your system administrator to restore Global.mpt.
CAUSE
This issue may occur if an incompatible or an outdated version of Norton AntiVirus is installed on the computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, update the version of Norton AntiVirus that is installed on the computer. For more information about how to update Norton AntiVirus, visit the following Symantec Web site:
