The drag-and-drop and the folder sharing features do not work correctly after you install a Windows NT 4.0 service pack on your guest PC
SYMPTOMS
After you install a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 service pack on
a Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based guest PC, you may experience the following
symptoms:
- Drag-and-drop functionality does not work correctly
between a host PC and a guest PC.
- Folder sharing does not work correctly between a host PC
and a guest PC.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Windows NT 4.0 service pack
contains updates that overwrite files that the Virtual PC
Additions install. As a result, certain features that Virtual PC Additions provide,
such as drag-and-drop functionality and folder sharing, do not work correctly
after you install a Windows NT 4.0 service pack on the guest PC.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, reinstall Virtual PC Additions on
your guest PC.
MORE INFORMATION
Virtual PC Additions provides features that integrate a
guest PC with the host PC.
