Virus real-time monitoring causes some files not to be replicated when deploying approximately 100 10-MB files
SYMPTOMS
When you deploy many files (for example, about 100 files) with Application Center 2000, and if you are using antivirus software to monitor files on the server, some of the files that you are deploying may not be replicated.
You may see the following event in the Application logs:
Event ID: 5056
Source: Application Center
Description: The requested object %Path% is busy
during session %ReplicationID% and job %ReplicationID% Status is 0x80070020.
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
RESOLUTION
To prevent this problem from recurring, exclude the $ACSRPL$ directory from automatic virus scanning. A full or automatic synchronization will replicate any missing files.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Application Center 2000 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Application Center 2000 Service Pack 2
Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
