HOW TO: Change IIS Compatibility Mode Settings on AC2000 Clusters

SUMMARY
This step-by-step article describes the steps that you can follow to change the Isolation Mode in Internet Information Services (IIS) 6 on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 from IIS 5 Isolation Mode to Worker Process Isolation Mode (WPIM).
Set the Isolation Mode Setting in the IIS Snap-In
- Click Start.
- Point to All Programs.
- Point to Administrative Tools.
- Click Application Center.
- Expand the Internet Information Services snap-in.
- Expand local computer.
- Right-click Web Sites.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Service tab.
- Clear Run WWW service in IIS 5.0 Protection Mode.
- Click OK.
- Click Yes to restart IIS.
- Expand the Application Center snap-in.
- Expand your cluster name.
- Expand the members node.
- Right-click your cluster controller computer name.
- Click Synchronize Cluster.
Restart IIS on All the Cluster Members
For each computer in the cluster:
- Click Start.
- Click Run.
- Type IISReset /Stop.
When that completes:
- Click Start.
- Click Run.
- Type IISReset /Start.
