Interface of Tables and Views in EM become RTL after installing SP1 for SQL Server 2000

SYMPTOMS

The interface orientation becomes RTL (Right-to-Left) for a table or view when opened in design mode or when data is viewed from Enterprise Manager. This problem occurs if the system locale is set to Arabic and the SQL Server is running SP1 or later

Steps to reproduce:
  1. Change the system locale to Arabic
  2. Install SQL Server 2000 SP1 or later
  3. Open Enterprise Manager, and try to open a table or view in design mode or retreive data

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
