Age of Mythology: Save and Restore a Multiplayer Game

a multiplayer game in Age of Mythology.

To save a multiplayer game in Age of Mythology, follow these
steps:
- When you are playing a multiplayer game, click the
Scroll icon in the upper-right corner of the game screen to
see the in-game menu.
- Click Save.
- In the Save and Exit dialog box, click
Save and Exit.
Note The game is saved in the
drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of
Mythology\savegame folder, where
drive is the drive
where Windows is installed. The game is saved as a file with a name similar to
the following: MPAutoSaveMM\DD\YYYY.sav. You must have this file name to reload
the game.
To restore a saved online multiplayer game, follow these
steps:
- Start Age of Mythology, and then click
Multiplayer.
- Click Online.
- In the Online Login dialog box, type your
name and password for the Ensemble Studios Online (ESO) server, and then click
OK.
- Click Advanced Setup.
- Click Host.
- In the Host a Multiplayer Game dialog box,
type the name of your saved game in the Game Name
box.
Note The game name was automatically assigned as the file name when
you saved the game. Look in the drive:\Program
Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\savegame folder to determine the name of
your game. - Click Private.
- Adjust the number of players, and then click
OK.
- Under Game Type, click Restore
Game.
- In the Open File dialog box, click the
game that you want to load, and then click Open.
To restore a LAN/direct IP multiplayer game, follow these steps:
- Start Age of Mythology, and then click
Multiplayer.
- Click LAN/Direct IP.
- In the LAN/Direct IP Login dialog box,
type your nickname, and then click OK.
- Click Host.
- Under Game Type, click Restore
Game.
- In the Open File dialog box, click the
game that you want to load, and then click Open.
Note The game name was automatically assigned as the file name when
you saved the game. Look in the drive:\Program
Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Mythology\savegame folder to determine the name of
your game.
