PRB: "2711.ACLogChild" Error Message When You Install Application Center 2000 Hotfix 813058

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Application Center 2000 hotfix 813058, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
2711.ACLogChild
The application event log may also contain an error message similar to the following:

Computer: Server Name
Description:
Product: Microsoft Application Center 2000 -- Internal Error 2711.ACLOGChild. The program experienced an internal error. If this condition persists, restart the application or contact your support personnel.

CAUSE

The Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine (also known as MSDE 2000) Service Pack 1 is not installed correctly for the MSDE 2000 instance that Application Center 2000 is using. This MSDE update was included in the Application Center 2000 Service Pack 1.

Note Application Center Server 2000 uses a specialized version of MSDE 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, reinstall the Application Center 2000 Service Pack 1.

 Internal Error 2711. ACLOGChild The program experienced an internal error. If this condition persists, restart the application or contact your support personnel.
 Action ended 17:05:04: CostFinalize. Return value 3.
