Age of Mythology: When You Try to Start the Game, a Blank Error Message Box Appears
SYMPTOMS
When you try to start Microsoft Age of Mythology for the
first time, you may receive an error message box that contains only a white "X"
that is inside a red circle.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if your computer has less than 128
megabytes (MB) of random access memory (RAM).
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, upgrade the RAM on your computer
to 128 MB. To identify how much RAM your computer has, follow these steps:
- On the desktop, right-click My Computer,
and then click Properties.
- In the System Properties dialog box, see
how much memory appears under Computer.
If this
value is less than 128 MB of RAM, your computer does not meet the minimum
requirements for this game. If your computer does not meet the game
requirements, contact your computer manufacturer or system builder to receive
more information about how to upgrade the RAM on your computer. If you do not
want to upgrade the RAM on your computer, you can return the
product.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
