SUMMARY

This article describes how to install the Microsoft Broadband Networking network adapters listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

To install your Microsoft broadband network adapter, following these steps.

IMPORTANT: Install the Microsoft Broadband Network Utility (BNU) software before you install or connect your hardware.
  1. Insert your Microsoft Broadband Network Utility CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
  2. If the Setup Wizard does not start automatically, locate and then click the Setup icon on the CD-ROM.
  3. Follow the instructions to complete the installation of the software.
  4. The second part of the wizard deals with hardware configuration. On the What do you want to set up? page, click Network Adapter, and then click Next.
  5. On the Which network adapter do you have? page, select your particular network adapter, and then click Next.
  6. On the How will you connect to your network adapter? page, click the option for the type of network setup that you want to perform, and then click Next.
  7. If you are prompted to provide network configuration information from a floppy disk or from notes taken when the base station was configured, do that now, and then go on to the next step.
  8. Connect your network adapter when you are prompted to do so, and then follow the instructions to complete the installation of the adapter.
  9. Restart your computer if Setup prompts you to do so.

Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each other.
