Event Type: Error
Application Center failed to initialize the Cluscmmn.dll file and stopped RfFilExt, the request forwarding filter. No request forwarding will be available. Status is %Status%: %StatusMessage%.

Meaning: Application Center failed to initialize Cluscmmn.dll and stopped RfFilExt, the request forwarding filter.

Effect: No request forwarding will be available until the problem is fixed.

Possible Causes and Solutions

Hardware failure: A hardware failure has occurred, such as a disk or network adapter failure.

WMI Problem: Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) is hung up or stuck in some process. Restart the WMI service.

Configuration store (metabase) corrupt: The store that Application Center uses for configuration data is corrupted or unavailable. Restart the IIS Admin service by using the Services utility in Administrative Tools. If this problem persists, contact your support personnel.

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Use the Support Online link in the Events view
  3. Contact Microsoft Product Support Services:
