SUMMARY

Description: Member failed to come online
Event Type: Error
The member
%ServerName% has failed to come online.
Meaning: The member could not be brought online.
Effect: If this is a cluster member, the member will not serve content. The rest of the cluster is not affected by this problem. If this is the cluster controller, other problems might also be experienced.
Possible Causes and SolutionsLoad balancing suspended: Network load balancing has been suspended on the member locally.
Server not available: Either the member is not turned on or has been renamed.
Web service stopped: The Web service on the member is not operating. Restart or start the Web service and then try the task again.
Also investigate:- Windows Event Log for failure
- Network failure
- Hardware failure, such as the network adapter
Other Solutions (listed in order of preference):- Restart the computer.
- Use the Support Online link in the Events view.
