Description: Failed to update hosts file
Event Type: Error
The Application Center Name Resolution Service failed to update the hosts file.
Meaning: The Application Center Name Resolution service failed to update the hosts file.
Effect: Name resolution might fail, causing intracluster communication problems. Cluster actions might fail.
Possible Causes and SolutionsObject not available: The host file has been renamed or deleted, or it is being used or locked by another application. Check to see if the file exists at
%WINDIR%\System32\Drivers\Etc\Hosts. Make sure that the file can be written to.
No permissions: The access permissions have been changed on the file or object.
