OFFXP: Unable to Print Hidden Text on an IBM InfoPrint 20 PS Printer

SYMPTOMS

When you print a Microsoft Office XP document to an IBM InfoPrint 20 PS printer, and you choose to print hidden text, the hidden text is not printed as expected.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when you do the following:
  1. You install an IBM InfoPrint 20 PS printer by using the printer drivers that are included with Microsoft Windows.
  2. You create a document that contains hidden text.
  3. You choose to print hidden text with the document (in the Print dialog box, click Options, and then click to select the Hidden text check box).
This behavior occurs because of an outdated Adobe PostScript printer driver used with the IBM InfoPrint 20 PS printer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, update your IBM InfoPrint 20 PS printer to use the latest drivers. To obtain the latest printer drivers for the IBM InfoPrint 20 PS printer, please visit the following Web site:
